ADUNO® CAMPUS MONITORING 2.0 FOR THE CHEMICAL INDUSTRY

Hilden, 05/08/2025

Since 2024, ituma’s aduno® campus has been in use as a monitoring system at a major chemical company in North Rhine-Westphalia. Among other things, the system features volume-based internet usage measurement, a user-friendly overview of the entire infrastructure, and automatic analysis of system utilisation with integrated notification functions.

The network is divided into several security zones, separated from one another by firewalls, and is operated in two data centres at different locations. An aduno® system instance consists of several components, which are functionally separated and installed in virtual machines.
The project focuses in particular on the resilience of the entire network and system landscape. With aduno® Campus Monitoring, not only individual devices but entire communication, infrastructure and service chains are monitored and analysed across multiple sites. Customers of the group located on the campus are also integrated into the central monitoring system. In addition, the campus’s fibre-optic internet supply is monitored, and special sensors are deployed to analyse and monitor 5G networks. Network components and systems from various manufacturers, such as Nokia (including 7750 and XWDM), Cisco, Aruba, Kerlink, Mikrotik and Ucopia, are centrally integrated. Furthermore, virtualised environments based on ESXi hypervisors and Azure cloud servers can be integrated, enabling hybrid infrastructures to be monitored transparently and reliably.
